The First Thing to Accomplish When Elected George: No Response
Why You Are Running for Office George: My name is state Rep. Camille "Bud" George and it has been a tremendous privilege to represent the people of the 74th Legislative District in Clearfield County. Having been nominated previously as both a Democrat and a Republican, I fight tooth-and-nail for the people of Clearfield County on issues such as health care and jobs and against unneeded landfills. Working for the people who raised our families, fought our wars, built our schools and towns is a labor of love and one I want to continue. Working families and retirees are confronting threats to their American Dream. Some people say such talk amounts to class warfare. The truth is class warfare has been waged on the Middle Class and senior citizens. We don’t need another tax cut for the well-to-do. We need fair tax policies –- especially on property taxes -- for workers and homeowners. We don’t need more gibberish on Republican vs. Democratic policies. We need government that works for the good of all the people. It means little if one is Republican or Democrat and you have a sick parent or child with no means to obtain health care. It’s important to have a strong, experienced voice representing your interests in Harrisburg because no one should ever have to choose between heating or eating. A strong America begins with a strong America. It is insulting to spend billions of dollars rebuilding other countries while ignoring the needs of our own citizens, communities and schools. Our health-care system is leaving vulnerable citizens at risk, gouging businesses with high costs and strangling hospitals, doctors and nurses with unreasonable demands. Citizens deserve more tax relief and their schools deserve fair education funding. I’m not afraid to stand up for your interests. But most of all, please vote on Nov. 7. Your voice must be heard, and your interests represented, now more than ever.
